The Rock Singer's Workshop!
Develop Killer Tone, Enviable Range, Awesome Power & Stamina... Without Ruining Your Voice.
Instructors: Michael Rocchio and Jaime Vendera
Click Here For More Details and Info on our Lessons Page
If you have questions or need more information, please call Fazios at 636-227-3573 or email
brianv@faziosmusic.com
Friday August 8th: 5pm - 8pm
Saturday August 9th: 10am - 4pm
FEE: $199 PER STUDENT for Friday evening and all day Saturday
Wouldn't it be great if singing was easier? Well, it can be, but many singers put off getting
the training they need until it's too late because they mistakenly think it will cause them
to lose the “emotional connection”. Wrong! Do what the pros do. Learn the secrets to
developing killer one, enviable range, awesome power & stamina…without ruining your voice.
The brainchild of Michael Rocchio & Jamie Vendera, “The Rock Singer's Workshop” is a unique
merger of tried and true, age old, proven vocal techniques with 21st century vocal techniques
and styles. In “The Rock Singer's Workshop” you will learn fundamental skills used by
the industry's top performers. But, that's not all. You'll put your new skills to immediate
use as you're coached by Rock & Jamie to perfect the song you chose to work on.
Michael Rocchio is a highly-talented and versatile musician who's had world-class training
and extensive performance experience in both the classical and rock genres. He holds a Bachelor
of Music in Voice Performance from Indiana University's famed School of Music, where he
attended on a full scholarship studying under Margaret Harshaw of the Metropolitan
Opera. He has performed operatic roles and oratorios with many of the country's foremost
organizations, and has been consistently well-noticed for his rich, powerful voice. He is
also an accomplished bassist having studied with such notables as Bunny Brunel, and Carol
Kaye. Currently, he is the bassist and a vocalist for St. Louis' own Nonstop, a 10-piece
horn-driven band playing classic rock's most challenging repertoire.
Jaime Vendera honed his vocal training skills by playing professionally starting at the age
of sixteen, then moving to Hollywood California at nineteen to study voice at the Musician's
Institute, as well as with Jim Gillette, lead singer for “Nitro”, the famed 80's Metal
band. He works with artists from several record companies, including Atlantic, Epic and
Universal records.
He has been seen on several nationally televised shows demonstrating the power of
his “glass shattering” voice, including “Good Morning America” and The Discovery Channel's
“MythBusters”, as well as internationally in Europe and Japan. He has been featured in
magazines, text books and interviewed on radio world-wide.
He is also the author of “The Ultimate Breathing Workout”, “The Ultimate Vocal Workout
Diary” and “Voice RX”. His books have been read and praised by members and singers of
bands such as, TNT, Nitro, Dream Theater, Journey, Saliva, Three Doors Down, Chevelle,
Shinedown, Sevendust, Puddle Of Mudd, Kill Hannah, Dokken, Godhead, The Rasmus, Machina,
Avalon, Theory of a Deadman, and Future Leaders of the World.

Born in Boston in January 1953, Stern grew up in Washington, DC, then returned to Boston to study at the

Tim May Acoustic Guitar Workshop
Sponsored by Breedlove Guitars
THURSDAY JULY 12, 2007 // 7 PM-8:30 PM
ADMISSION: FREE!
If you were not fortunate enough to have caught a show by the Nashville-based group
Crucial Smith during its fifteen-year run, flatpicking guitarist Tim May has probably
managed to fly under your radar. If that is the case, then get ready for him to pop up on
your screen and be added to your list of favorite guitar players, songwriters, and singers
because he is starting to fly high. While Crucial Smith was active Tim turned down a number
of high profile touring and recording opportunities because he wanted to focus on the band.
When word got out in Nashville that the band had dissolved, the offers came pouring in and
Tim has become very busy. In the past couple of years he has toured with Patty Loveless,
played on an all-star-cast Rounder project called Moody Bluegrass: A Nashville Tribute to
the Moody Blues, and recorded a bluegrass gospel project with Charlie Daniels. Additionally,
FGM Records has released Tim's solo CD Find My Way Back, and Tim is featured in a new FGM
Records concert DVD with Brad Davis and Cody Kilby. If you own the Flatpicking Favorites: Hot
and Spicy CD and have listened to Cody Kilby and Tim May tear up "Lonesome Fiddle Blues,"
you'll know why Tim is now getting called to play so many prominent gigs in Nashville. As
they say here in southwest Virginia, "The boy can pick!"
